The Yes Fam Radio Show is a musical time-traveling journey through the decades, featuring songs from the 1940s to the 2010s. With music-related quizzes, puzzles, interviews, and a unique open mic-styled performance by a very special guest, the show takes you on a nostalgic adventure-filled journey.
Our idea
There’s something we found inspiring about people, and how we bond so often over music when the 8 of us first met. Being from different nationalities and from different countries like the USA, India, Mexico, Peru, Germany, Tunisia, New Zealand, and Norway, we had a lot of different and unique styles of music to share with each other and that’s where we came up with the idea to begin a Radio Show
The show was created by eight friends who met virtually through the YesFam community, a community of over 16000+ members who follow the YouTube group Yes Theory and share their ideology that a stranger is a friend you haven't met yet, so seek discomfort, during the COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020. Hence it was only fitting to name the show the YesFam Radio Show and give back to the community that brought us together in the first place.
The Radio Show is our way to test our music knowledge, discover new music, and express ourselves without having to use actual words.

What we do
We pick and play music from the 1940s to the 2010s, including timeless classics by The Beatles and Michael Jackson, while introducing others to new and unique music from around the world, such as Jamiroqui and Cab Calloway.
We discuss the evolution of different styles and genres, as well as how they have inspired the music we listen to now. We interact with our listeners through music-related quizzes and games such as "What's My Line?" which is based on the 1950s American game show of the same name.
We bring a special guest to each episode who performs live for our listeners. We also host a number of unique events throughout the year to commemorate significant dates in our calendar, as well as musical achievements and months.

The Specials
How we do it
We choose music to play during the show, research about the artists and songs and write the show and interview scripts, prepare the games and quizzes for the show, and advertise on social media before each show.
