SOIL COMPOSITION

Rammed earth walls are constructed by ramming a mixture of selected aggregates, including gravel, sand, silt, and a small amount of clay, into place between flat panels called formwork. Traditional technology repeatedly rammed the end of a wooden pole into the earth mixture to compress it.

INVITATION CARDS

Following the theme of the exhibit, the invitation cards were made to reflect the versatility of soil which was made into a pigment and brushed onto the cards.

INVITATION POTS

A handmade pot invite made using a soil mix and natural Babul tree sap as a binder using rammed earth techniques that will eventually nourish the soil.

From the Earth, Back to the Earth.

LIGHTS

Lights were designed and made using reclaimed wood to act as focused light for the jewelry on display.
